Booth University College is a Salvation Army school located in Winnipeg, Mb. This iteration of the website is the third version and represents a big jump in harnessing the power of Drupal.
Some of the features of the website include:
- Faculty profile pages. Each faculty member can have their own section of the website where they can create/edit/delete their own pages. The menu that links each page is automatically created so the faculty members do not need to know any coding
- Permissions. Users have access to edit/create/delete the pages of the website that pertain to them
- News items from the website can be presented on the television screens located throughout the campus
- Course offerings present class times in an easy to use calendar. Course offerings that have elapsed are automatically removed from the site.
- Front page slideshow highlights key information
- Hospitality services can easily add the cafeteria’s menu and commuters lunch specials for the week and the information is presented on the site where required.
- Chat service provides live online help to potential students
- Movement of pages to provide a structured navigation to the website.
The photoshop mockup of the website was created by Carson Samson of Samson Studios whereas all other work is mine. The website runs on Drupal.
